Feel free to contact me to be on a wait list if you are interested or have questions before putting down a deposit. Once you put down a deposit, I will send you a contract that you can sign. Remember, you are in charge of arranging transport for live goats, either within the state of WI or across state lines.

Ask yourself why you might want to get into raising SCI goats, or perhaps add more to your existing herd? SCI goats are still just goats, and require all the same care and maintenance as other goat breeds. Here are some basic questions to ask yourself to make sure you are ready for goats as well as some resources.

  • Do you have proper housing and fences to safely contain goats?
  • Will your goats always have access to water?
  • Do you know what goats need to eat and how much they need to eat in a day?
  • What kind of health maintenance routine do you have established?
  • Do you have a large animal vet that will take you as a client?
  • Do you have a goat mentor or community that can help you?
  • What are your short term and long term plans with your SCI goats?
  • Here is a resource to share. The San Clemente Island Goat Breeders Association also lists multiple goat care resources as well other information.

All EB Ranch Farmstead San Clemente Island goats are registered through the member run and owned San Clemente Island Goat Breeders Association and Registry.

Let me know if you have particular goals with your San Clemente Island goats and I can help you possibly choose good matches with your goals. At EB Ranch Farmstead I have been carefully breeding a herd of SCI goats that grow well on rotational grazing and forage with little input beside minerals and salt. In addition to grain and protein tubs for SCI goats during gestation and lactation.

I am also working on preserving the Tepper line. Line preservation can help to add to the genetic and historical variety within a breed. If you are interested in Tepper line preservation please let me know. Myself and the breeder community are looking for more dedicated line breeders.

There will be a non-refundable $175 deposit as well as a contractual agreement signed by both seller and buyer. Buyer is responsible for transport arrangements. I (the seller) will need at least 2 weeks advance to arrange for a CVI if goat(s) are traveling across state lines.
